The group will run a full-page ad published in The Wall Street Journal stating that President Trump is “…unfit to serve” and tout him as a “liar”, “…abominable” person and a “narcissist” according to a Reuters political correspondent.

The copy will include statements such as, “Trump has demonstrated that he lacks the character and competence to lead this nation and has engaged in corrupt behavior that renders him unfit to serve as president,” and “We have concluded that Donald Trump has failed our country and that Vice President Joe Biden should be elected the next President of the United States,”.

The group is called “Former Republican National Security Officials for Biden”, and it includes individuals that, sources say, ‘many people considered the most senior Republicans members of the U.S. defense and intelligence establishment’. (Caralle) They are reported to have served in administrations spanning from Reagan, both Bush administrations and even under President Trump himself.

Although a full list was not made available to our publication, sources affirm that ‘the group includes John Negroponte, (the first director of National Intelligence) and William Webster, the only man to serve as both head of the CIA and FBI. General Michael Hayden, who served as both the national security director and head of the CIA under George W. Bush, is also part of the Republican group’.

Katelyn Caralle, who broke the news at 14:21 EDT, 20 August 2020 on DAILYMAIL.COM reports, “The group lays out a detailed charge sheet against Trump, including accusations that he is unfit to lead in a national crisis, undermined confidence in U.S. elections, aligned himself with dictators, preached a ‘dark and pessimistic view of America’ and attacked and vilified immigrants.”

The full page ad will be run just a few days before the Republican National Convention commences on Monday, 24 August 2020 where they will officially nominate Trump for reelection.
