Nicki Minaj’s husband has agreed to take a plea deal that could severely lighten his punishment for failing to register as a sex offender in the state of California for his 1995 conviction in NY for first-degree attempted rape.
The charge comes from March 2020, after he had moved to California with Nicki the previous year, and the feds said he had never registered with local authorities as a sex offender.
In exchange for a guilty plea, prosecutors agreed to seek a lighter sentence, the minimum being 5 years supervised release, the maximum being 10 years in prison.
