Known as planning fallacy you tend to underestimate how long it will take you to complete the task at hand and how quickly you’ll get it done. So, when it’s time to start tackling the task, you end up easily overwhelmed and overworked.
What to Try: Start earlier than you intend to. Set realistic mini-goals by outlining a detailed timeline that completes what you are trying to accomplish before the deadline. When you finish that goal for the day, reward yourself so that you stay motivated to keep going and keep that sense of accomplishment.
